With free reign to design the brand, I decided on a pastel palette for a infant’s nursery feel, with 3 main colours. The main colour of the brand would be teal, so that it could be more gender neutral to both fathers and mothers who might be browsing the site. The simple circular logo was designed with a subtle hint of a mother’s nursing breast by putting the tittle of the ‘j’ in the ‘O’ of the word ‘PORT’.
The colour scheme was then applied across their collateral, adverts, business cards and website.
The website was art directed by me as I was not in the capability of creating an e-commerce website. So I ensured the theme of the website reflected the colour scheme strongly, as well as designing most of the web banners within the site while adhering to the toddler theme. I was also in charged of editing most of the product images seen on the site including doing photoshoots for a fraction of them. It was a very tedious process with probably about two thousand images in total.
